This cassette has 25 tracks all together, and include nearly every song made out of this band, KRIMinell Ungdom from Narvik of Northern Norway. Both in studio and live fashion. The music can be called some sort of New Wave, and sounds almost great. The lyrics are very poetic too. The 8 first songs are from a demo in 1983, 4 song after (Konflikt, Hellig natt, Evighet, and Lillebror) to be live from Harstad in 1982 and 2 more songs to be live from the festivale of Træstokk the summer of 1982. Than 8 songs are recorded live 29.12 in 1982. Again, 4 songs live from the festivale of Træstokk in 1982. Personal favorites on this cassette are the songs: Overdose, Nærmere, Tilbake, Konflikt, Hellig natt, Evighet, Lillebror, Fabrikk, Den sovende pike, Svart natt, and tolv piskeslag. I did hear better versions of the songs: Dømt, Tinnsoldat, Et alminnelig liv, tolv piskeslag, and Dans. Why they never did release a LP as they planned to do, is one of the greatest mystery to me. "Krim U; a band from Narvik. They started up as Kriminell Ungdom (The Youth Of Crime) in the beginning of the eighties: like many others, in this worlds abandon area. Krim. U. started as a punk band, but was driven to this kind of music to be found on this cassette (quit ekstraordinary in Norway too). Sadly, we didn't get to know the bands music. All because of distance, money... Something on vinyl had be good, but money... That's why this cassette. The sound isn't all together great, but we hope to be forgiven. But truely you are listening to a musical documentary in a important period in Norwegian cultural of life". (This is printed on the cover) This cassette was released by Trust Art in 1988 (4 years too late, as it says on the back of the cover). An review of Krim U concert may 8th in 1982 and an intervju was done by the Nor. zine GAKK (3/82):"Krim U started as a new wave band, but wanted something different. The changes of the band's music style can only be described as progress. Both music and lyrics. Krim U compares with bands such as; Joy Division, Talking Heads and Killing Joke, but copies non av them. The music style of this band is called ny-rock". Krim U did manage to do more songs in better versions. To be found on the "Null Problem-CD" are the songs:Tinnsoldat and Dømt, and one of the songs is to be found as a downloaded mp3. And some demos the band did before their break up, are avaible to musical enthusiasts.
